11 Mar Citrus-Sesame Marinade
This marinade is bright and fresh, with an unexpected sweet touch. Citrus acid causes meat to break down, allowing more moisture absorption for a juicier result (but don’t marinate too long or food will turn mushy). The blend is perfect for poultry, seafood, shellfish, tofu, and all veggies and fruits.
½ cup fresh grapefruit juice
½ cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
6 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
Cayenne pepper, to taste.
Whisk all ingredients together.
Before adding foods to marinate, set about 1/4 cup aside to baste foods while grilling.
