Tomatillo Salsa

Tomatillo Salsa

1 pound tomatillos
3 cloves garlic
1 small bunch cilantro
1 small sweet onion
4 tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and stemmed (use 2 if you like it hot)

Finely chop all ingredients. Drain off some of the liquid. Mix in a glass bowl, cover, and refrigerate. Serve as a condiment or as a dip with crackers, toasted French bread, or tortilla chips. Makes about 2 cups.
