Newly transplanted to Mount Vernon, Kyra brings her background in small business marketing and her enthusiasm for community connections, food justice, and local makers to the board. A PNW native, Kyra has degrees in Political Science and Music from the University of Rochester, Eastman School of Music, and has spent years living in Seattle, New York and Hong Kong before buying her first home in Mount Vernon with her husband in 2021. After stints as a choral director, dance instructor, and nonprofit coordinator, Kyra currently creates marketing for luxury real estate as well as social media marketing for small businesses from wine makers to espresso machines. You can often find her puttering in her garden, reading copious novels, and exploring every cafe and bookstore she can in Skagit and Whatcom county.
